Shame on Me!

Well, I have been working on eliminating unnecessary plastics from my world, choosing products which are not either plastic or contained in plastics...but I keep on forgetting my shopping bags when I go to the store so end up either carrying everything in my arms and you would think this would teach me to remember the shoppers but nooooo...so I have had some items put into plastic bags during my shopping trips.  Must remember shoppers...

But so excited, tomorrow will be using my bar of conditioner from Lush for the first time...hope it works!

Toothpaste!

Found it!  I found a substitute which is recyclable, it's the toothpaste in the aluminum can - of course the AL could be a problem but usually toothpaste is not swallowed so may be OK.

Target

Looked for milk in the carton and creamer in the carton at Target in San Jose CA, did not find any except lactose free, etc. but no regular 2%...will keep looking.

Replacing products with a bit eco friendlier packaging

Well, it was time to buy clothing detergent and switched from my fav liquid in a plastic bottle to granular in a box - I hope the planet and my progeny appreciate my sacrifice!

Bag It

You can blame Bag It for bringing out the latent eco friendly me.  Just posting what I've discovered and interested in other ideas to reduce and reuse.
